Dog Licensing

WI State Statutes 174.05 & 95.21 require that all dogs over the age of 5 months be licensed and vaccinated.

All licenses expire on December 31, and must be renewed by March 31 of the following year.

After March 31, a late fee of $10.00 per tag will be assessed for each tag in addition to the regular fee.

All dog license applications must include current proof of vaccination.

Residents can click on the link below to print out an application, or stop by Town Hall to obtain a copy of the dog license application.

Town of Pleasant Springs Dog License Application

To obtain a license, bring or mail in all of the following items to Town Hall, 2354 County Rd N, Stoughton WI 53589.

1. Current Vaccination certificate for each dog.

2. Exact check made payable to “Town of Pleasant Springs” or exact cash. It is not recommended to mail cash. Current license costs can be found on the permit.

3. Completed Dog License Application.

4. Optional: If you would like your dog tag mailed back after processing, please include a self addressed, stamped envelope with adequate postage. Otherwise, residents can pick up their dog license at Town Hall after it has been processed.
